Heath Anglefin Plunger Bar - Foam Handles for Vibration Isolation

Product Description
The Anglefin Plunger Bar is an improvement over the standard probe bars or plunger bars for leak detection and pinpointing. We've had very good responses from utilities. There is a technique in using plunger bars. Try to keep a loose grip when driving the bar into the ground so the shock isn't coupled into your arms as much. It helps too if you can release your grip just before the slide hammer hits the rod. Although it’s awkward at first, it puts the energy of the slide hammer into the rod, not you, so it works better and hurts less.
It’s a good idea to use some vibration isolation foam on the side handles to reduce the shock going into the operator. These foam handles work well and have a weak contact adhesive on the inside so you can easily open the split foam tube and put it over the orange Anglefin metal side handles. The foam won’t slide around or come off when you are using the tool. If they wear out, you can easily peel them off and replace them with a new set of foam handles. These soft comfortable handles reduce the shock and vibration substantially.
Waterproof closed cell foam is 3/8” thick and covers the straight section of the side handles (approx 14"). Handles are easily attached and replaced in the field with no tools. I am working to get the best foam possible, so the specific material and thickness may change. A set of two vibration isolation foam handles is only $19
